Why we started this nonprofit
We believe in Community

Ron Locke's generosity and concern for food instability in our community was the catlyst for launching this program. We wanted a program that would serve the under-served in our area: the person with temporary disability because of surgery, the family welcoming a new child but finding their budget inadequate, the family who has lost a member and needs a bit of time to get back on their feet. These are the people we look to serve.
In addition, we noted that many churches are struggling to serve their congregation who may be experiencing temporary food instability as well. As congregations tend to be made up of older people these days, their fixed income makes it difficult for them to help their fellow parishoners. By going outside of the church walls, but staying within the community, everyone benefits.
